Information About Warts
Warts are not commonly found in the mouth. Warts are dry, rough textured, bumps on the skin. You’re probably familiar with warts that grow on fingers and toes. Warts are the reason for nearly one-fifth of all pediatric visits for skin problems, yet their treatment remains frustrating. Most therapies take a long time to work, some are ineffective, and others are painful.
Warts are non-cancerous skin growths caused by the papillomavirus. Warts are more common in children than adults, although they can develop at any age. Warts are an infection of the skin that become those unsightly bumps on various parts of your body or the soles of your feet, and are caused by specific wart viruses. They come and go, sometimes with or without treatment, and sometimes won’t go away no matter what treatment is given. Warts are the most common infection of the skin caused by a virus. Plantar warts grow on the plantar, or bottom surface of the foot.
